Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer, Baystate Health/ Senior Vice President, Community Hospitals

Mr. Chalke is responsible for the financial oversight of Baystate Health’s provider entities including three acute care hospitals and two physician organizations.  His responsibilities include budgeting, financial planning and analysis, capital financing, managed care contracting, cost accounting, decision support, and oversight of revenue cycle functions.  As Chief Financial Officer of Baystate Health, he is responsible for the annual budget and other critical operating activities.  He also is responsible for all supply chain activities including purchasing, warehousing, value analysis and distribution.

He has over eighteen years of healthcare experience having joined Baystate in 1988.  Previously Mr. Chalke was with United Technologies Corporation in Hartford, CT, where he worked in the finance organization on mergers, acquisitions and financial planning.

Mr. Chalke holds an MBA from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a BA in Economics from Ithaca College, Ithaca , NY.
