Healthcare Innovation and Entrepreneurship 3 CREDITS course begins March 26, 2018

Work in teams to identify real-world problems in the healthcare system, and conduct stakeholder and market analysis to identify possible solutions. You will examine the forces that critically impact healthcare innovations for several business models; consumer-focused, technology-driven, and consolidations. You will also receive an introduction to the Lean Launchpad methodology and business model canvas. Teams work to develop their recommendations and present their proposals, using peer-assessments to explore entrepreneurial opportunities and evaluate the viability of their plans.

Lean Launchpad for Healthcare and Life Sciences 3 CREDITS course begins July 11, 2018

The Lean Launchpad for Healthcare and Life Sciences teaches innovators, entrepreneurs, clinicians and scientists how to assess whether their idea or technology can serve as the basis for a new venture. The focus of the course is on the end-user (the prospective customer), where you must validate your idea by implementing it into a real-world setting. This class helps students and their teams with the following:
• Gathering data essential to customer purchases or end-user behavior before doing the science
• Defining clinical utility now, before spending millions of dollars
• Identifying financing vehicles before they’re needed
• Assessing regulatory risk before you design and build.
