Neil Kudler

Baystate Health, Chief Medical Information Officer and Internist

Kudler_Neil.jpgAs CMIO, Dr. Kudler is the senior physician executive responsible for Health Information Exchange development, physician IT Privacy & Security matters, ICD-10 transition, and the optimisation of the enterprise electronic health record for a three hospital, 75-practice integrated healthcare delivery network. Baystate Health’s EHR is built on the Cerner Millennium platform and was awarded Stage six recognition from HIMSS Analytics in 2008. He is the senior leader and sponsor of the Divisions of Clinical Informatics and Health Information Management (HIM). He is also the Chief Information Officer of Pioneer Valley Accountable Care, an ACO with 1000 physicians, and active in several other US medical associations.

Before earning his MD degree at NYU School of Medicine and receiving his training in internal medicine at the University of California-San Francisco, Dr. Kudler earned a master’s in theological studies at Harvard Divinity School. He has over 19 years of experience as a General Medical Internist and continues to specialise in the care of HIV-infected and opioid-dependent individuals in the division of infectious diseases at Baystate Medical Center. Dr. Kudler is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Tufts University School of Medicine
