Innovation Event Alert: VVM Accelerator Award Night

This is a big deal! Join the TechSpring Table - we offer free seats if you sign up now as a guest of TechSpring ($75 value).  VVM is graduating its first cohort from the accelerator program on April 30. $250,000 will be distributed to the winning companies. Because of limited capacity, a firm RSVP is requested for the TechSpring table.  Let’s cheer on our TechSpring residents Dr. Alaina Hanlon, NuPlanit and Dr. Luis Munoz, EdenIS as they compete for the big prize!

Last Week's ReCap

Tap into TechSpring #5 was kicked off with Dr. Evan Benjamin’s great enthusiasm stating, “There’s no better time to be in healthcare than now”. He gave a comprehensive view of why and how Population Health is a fundamental shift in healthcare impacting us all as innovators or patients. John Moore, CEO of Twine Health, showed a real solution live in a Baystate practice today paving the way for care management and enabling the power of the patient.  John believes, “Patients are undervalued as a resource”. His video shows how Twine Health has worked to change that.

Last Friday Danielle had the opportunity to hop on the Economic Development Council of Western MA’s innovation bus tour and experience the entrepreneurial renaissance that is taking place in our community.  Follow her stops throughout the day at UMass Amherst, BRICK CoWorkShop, and Valley Venture Mentors in her 413 Innovation Tour blog, and see why industry specific co-working works in her Coworking at TechSpring blog.

36 hours and no sleep really paid off. TechSpring was proud to present the Hack4Health prize at HackUMASS 2015 to PowerGlove for the best use of technology to solve a healthcare challenge by using sensors and analytics to give patient’s their power back!  PowerGlove received a 3 month resident membership at TechSpring along with other great prizes!  Congrats to HackUMASS for hosting 700 participants from over 60 colleges. See Twitter @TechSpringMA and @HackUMASS for an inside look at the weekend long event.
