    It is the mission of TechSpring to accelerate innovation in healthcare informatics and technology, and build a vibrant innovation community of technologists and healthcare professionals in Springfield working together to solve the very real challenges of healthcare today.

    Our Vision

    To create a vibrant innovation community with companies of all sizes, entrepreneurs, developers and non-profits, interacting informally and formally to create change in healthcare through technology development, assessment and deployment.

    The building is easy to recognize with large, red “MASSlive” sign on the top and the front of the building says, "One Financial Plaza".    

     

    Parking instructions and entry access

    MGM Springfield Parking: FREE parking is available 2 blocks away at the MGM Casino.  The entrance address is One MGM Way, Springfield, MA    Once parked, exit the casino onto Main Street, take a left and walk 2 blocks to the Court Street side entrance of ‘One Financial Plaza’

    Street Parking:  Parking is available on the street in the vicinity of 1350 Main Street.  Metered parking is free after 6pm and on weekends  

     

    Additional Parking Options and Rates:

    Valet Parking:  Available for "One Financial Plaza" at the corner of Court Street and City Hall Place (the backside of "One Financial Plaza" building).   Use a GPS address of 36 Court Street to access. 

    Rates:  $4 for the first hour, $2 for each additional hour, maximum charge of $20 per day.

     

    ProPark:   Located at 22 Bruce Landon Way, Springfield, MA.  This is the closest lot.     

    Rates: Hourly rates are not available; daily rate is $10/day.    

     

    Springfield Parking Authority Civic Center Parking Garage:  Located at 41 Harrison Ave, Springfield, MA. 

    Rates: $1.50 for the first hour, $2 for each additional hour. 

     

    Springfield Parking Authority I-91 South Garage:  Located at 1620 E. Columbus Ave, Springfield, MA.

    Rates: $1.50 for the first hour, $2 for each additional hour.

    Madey Dybdahl

    Office Coordinator

    Madey is responsible for office operations and representing TechSpring to our user community. She provides tours of the space, helps orient new users and coordinates events.

    She has been with Baystate Health since 2006, working as an Executive Assistant to Baystate’s senior leaders. Madey is our go-to guide for navigating the organization, providing introductions, and making connections.

    Madey has a bachelor degree in business from the University of Massachusetts and years of experience as an Executive and Legal Assistant in Western Massachusetts and Northern California.

    Jill McCormick

    Innovation Manager

    Jill manages a portfolio of innovation projects in collaboration with our commercial partners piloting their solutions at Baystate.

    She is responsible for scoping and structuring innovation projects and bringing commercial partners together with internal stakeholders at all levels, from front-line healthcare workers to C-level executives.

    Jill has a background as a Product Development professional having worked as Manager of New Product Development for IDEXX Laboratories (life sciences products) and head of Sales & Marketing for Simply Good Medical Software. Jill started her career as a Research Scientist after completing a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. Jill also has an MBA from Babson College, Magna Cum Laude.

    Christian Lagier

    Managing Director, TechSpring Co-Founder

    Christian was named the founding Managing Director of TechSpring in October 2013, joining the core team of Joel Vengco and Even Benjamin in developing TechSpring from vision to reality. He oversees all activities of the center today and continues to pursue an ambitious vision of healthcare innovation acceleration. Every day, he focuses on thinking big, envisioning success and getting things done.

    Christian has a background in entrepreneurship, business operations, and strategic business development having worked for startups and high growth companies in Silicon Valley, Paris and Copenhagen.

    After starting out as a management consultant in Fortune 500 companies, he has worked for early stage companies through successful venture funding or public offering such as Proxicom, Memolane, Vivino, and Opbeat. He is a Danish and French national and holds a MSc in Economics and Business Administration, with a specialization in Management of Technology and learning organizations.
