TechSpring Times 9

Here's what's on tap for the week of 5/4/15 at TechSpring!TT_3_-_111_copy_200.jpg

Thursday May 14th is a BIG day at TechSpring; focus is on Telehealth. What are the obstacles? How can we overcome them? But first, what is it really?

We start 3-5pm with hands-on demonstrations, a TeleHealth Fair. Come try being a patient. Come play doctor!

  • Remote patient monitoring - a suitcase of gadgets sent to patients’ home (HealthNet Connect)
  • eVisits - connect from anywhere (Praxify)
  • Healthspot - a full-size kiosk connecting you to medical care (come sit in one!)

5pm we start our monthly Tap into TechSpring open house event: sign in and connect with innovators and healthcare professionals, patients, executives, developers, and entrepreneurs, all working to change healthcare as we know it. Also, a good chance to connect with telehealth experts from multiple fields and companies. Ask them about their experience operating telehealth solutions across the country or as far away as India (e.g 10 million patients on Praxify).

6-7pm a handful of presenters will share relevant experience in implementation and adoption of TeleHealth. Notably, Dell experts will share background on their broad activities in TeleHealth, what works, what drives successful TeleHealth, and adoption experiences from other states.

7-8+pm - further networking, discussions; how can we get TeleHealth to be a reality in our area, what will it mean for us as patients, how can we help each other ...

PLEASE RSVP! Food and drink will be served. Thank you to Dell, one of the awesome TechSpring sponsors, for helping organize this evening. Sign up to volunteer!

How to get things done: connect with Joel or Tripp

Meet with Joel Vengco, Baystate’s VP & CIO, and Techspring co-founder on 5/12 or Tripp Peake, General Partner Long River Ventures on 5/14.  These experts offer their guidance on how to get things done in a casual one-on-one setting, as well as group setting.
