TechSpring is seeking an energetic, hospitality-oriented colleague to join our team as an Innovation Host. 

ABOUT US: TechSpring is a department within the I&T Division of Baystate. We provide co-working space for entrepreneurs and innovators developing technology solutions for healthcare. Our contemporary office is located in downtown Springfield where we offer private, secure office and meeting areas along with open, shared work areas for collaboration.

ABOUT OUR INNOVATION HOST: Our Innovation Host creates the first impression for guests visiting TechSpring’s community and is the central hub for smooth and efficient office operations.     


Work location:  TechSpring, downtown Springfield MA

Work hours:  Mon - Fri, 9am - 5pm  with flexibility to cover 2-5 early morning or evening events each month


Primary job responsibilities:   

  1. Provide exceptional reception services:   Welcome guests into TechSpring, assist with registering them in our CRM database, provide tours, offer coffee/water

  2. Keep kitchen well stocked, organized, clean and most importantly, keep the coffee fresh and plentiful

  3. Ensure that TechSpring is always “guest ready”

  4. Answer a multi-line phone system - transfer calls as needed to the appropriate team member

  5. Assist with event coordination and execution - anything from refreshments for a meeting for two to setting up for a party for 202!  May include event notifications, placing/delivering catering orders, stocking the fridge, serving coffee/bagels.  

  6. Provide administrative support to the TechSpring team:  Assist with reports, data tracking, entry level accounting data entry, meeting coordination, etc.)

  7. Order office supplies and event/kitchen supplies; also monitor inventory

  8. Manage relationships with TechSpring’s Resident Members: Foster community engagement, provide on-boarding orientation & security access, and maintain regular communications


Required Experience:

  1. Customer service, guest service, and hospitality experience

  2. Administrative assistant experience

  3. Advanced use of office technology (printing, scanning, AV, teleconferencing, smartboards, etc.)

  4. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  5. Advanced knowledge of Google Docs/Google Drive (or similar cloud storage)

  6. Strong use of smartphone mobile apps

  7. Minimum of high school diploma/GED;  associates degree preferred
